Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (often shortened to TMNT or Ninja Turtles) are four fictional teenaged anthropomorphic turtles named after Renaissance Italian artists. They were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensei in the art of ninjutsu. From their home in the sewers of New York City, they battle petty criminals, evil overlords, mutated creatures, and alien invaders while attempting to remain hidden from society. They were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The characters originated in comic books published by Mirage Studios and expanded into cartoon series, films, video games, toys, and other merchandise. The franchise’s became popular, and it gained worldwide success and fame.
Ninja Turtles are four small turtles that become humanoids, as a result of contact with a strange pink chemical substance, the mutagen. Splinter, a master of martial arts transformed into a rat of a similar suite, will be welcomed in the sewers of the city of New York and teach them Ninjutsu, the art of ninjas. They will then meet a journalist named April O'Neil, who will help fight the band of Shredder, who is hiding behind an iron mask. It is Splinter who named them to the four turtles, after the names of Renaissance painters. It's easy to identify with the color of their mask and headband. Each turtle also masters a weapon of its own.
