The Real Ghostbusters Series

Kenner’s The Real Ghostbusters line, launched for Christmas 1986 after the animated series premiered on 13 September 1986, and continued until 1991. The first wave had the four Ghostbusters (Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddmore), the Green Ghost, not yet called Slimer, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, with no vehicles or playsets yet. The range then grew over ten waves of figures, ghosts, vehicles and role-play accessories. The final wave in 1991 brought the glow-in-the-dark ECTO-Glow Heroes and the last vehicle, the ECTO-Bomber, before Kenner ended the line amid falling sales.
