Alien • Aliens Series

Kenner’s Aliens line, launched in 1992 and based on the 1986 film Aliens, pits Ripley and the Space Marines against the Xenomorphs. The first series had five Space Marines of about 5 inches (Lt. Ripley, Bishop, Sgt. Apone, Corporal Hicks and Drake), each sold with a mini comic. Kenner drew on Dark Horse Comics for its creatures: the 1994 range included animal-inspired Aliens such as the Arachnid, Wild Boar, Rhino, Panther, Snake, Killer Crab and Mantis Aliens, the Power Loader, Stinger XT-37 and EVAC Fighter vehicles and the Queen Hive playset. An animated series, Operation: Aliens, was planned but never released.
