Gundam • Master Grade

Master Grade (MG) is Bandai’s line of 1/100 scale Gunpla plastic model kits, launched in July 1995 for the 15th anniversary of Gunpla with the RX-78-2 Gundam. The kits reproduce internal mechanisms and gimmicks in more detail than earlier 1/100 kits, and most recent ones are built around a movable inner frame. Older subjects are regularly redesigned as Ver. 2.0 or later versions, and the Ver.Ka sub-series, introduced in 2002, features designs refined by Hajime Katoki. Besides Gundam, the grade has included subjects from Patlabor and Dunbine. Since 2018 it has been produced by Bandai Spirits.
