Hi-Metal Series

Hi-Metal Series

Bandai’s Hi-Metal line originated in 1984 when the company acquired the iconic 1/55 scale Variable Fighter molds from the bankrupt Takatoku Toys. Originally released to coincide with the theatrical film Macross: Do You Remember Love?, the line was reissued in 2001 under the same branding. The toys feature full three-mode transformation — Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid — and remain highly sought after by vintage collectors.
