Macross • Origin of Valkyrie (オリジン・オブ・バルキリー)

Origin of Valkyrie is Bandai’s line of renewed reissues of the 1/55 transformable VF-1 Valkyrie from Super Dimension Fortress Macross, a toy first released in 1982 by Takatoku Toys. It was launched in 2008 for the 25th anniversary of Macross, keeping the original transformation and sculpt with some updated specifications and new packaging: the VF-1J (Hikaru Ichijo) and VF-1S (Roy Focker) on 19 July 2008, then the Super Valkyrie VF-1A versions on 30 August 2008. Tamashii Nations revived the line in 2026 for the 45th anniversary, with the VF-1J Valkyrie 45th Anniv. scheduled for January 2027 and the VF-1S Roy Focker Special with Super Pack for March 2027, both in ABS and die-cast with added head and leg articulation.
