M.A.S.K • 4th Series "Split Seconds"

Manufacturer: Kenner™ • Released: 1987

The fourth and final wave of M.A.S.K., known as Split Seconds, was released by Kenner in 1988 and marked the last assortment of the original toyline. Its defining gimmick was that each vehicle came with a “Split Seconds” driver represented as a holographic image card rather than the usual posable agent figure, paired with a transforming vehicle. The M.A.S.K. side included Afterburner, Detonator, Dynamo, Fireforce, Skybolt, and Stiletto, while the VENOM side featured Barracuda (also called Jackal), Vandal, and Wolfbeast. By this point the animated series had ended, and the wave saw a more limited release than its predecessors, making several Split Seconds items sought-after among collectors today.
