Laser Command was a M.A.S.K. playset released by Kenner in 1988 which, like the Split Seconds toys, never appeared in the animated series, though it was given a spotlight in a UK comic strip story. The set consisted of two toys designed to battle each other through an infrared system. Hornet was a M.A.S.K. packing crate that opened to reveal an aerial attack vehicle, and came with a Matt Trakker figure and the Lasertron mask, a redress of the Ultraflash mask from Rhino. Ratfang was a VENOM truck with limited transforming capability whose exhausts swung out to form side cannons, while its doors, wheels, and hood burst apart when triggered by infrared beams fired from Hornet; a retool of the Firecracker mold, it came with a Miles Mayhem figure and the Raynet mask, a redress of the Viper mask from Switchblade.
