Miles “Wolf” Mayhem

Miles "Wolf" Mayhem is the founder and leader of VENOM (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem) and the principal antagonist of the M.A.S.K. franchise. Aged forty-four and working under the cover of an arms dealer, he is cruel, ruthless, aggressive, and cunning, willing to do almost anything to gain wealth and power. A former colleague of Matt Trakker, he helped pioneer the technology behind the special masks; in the comics he betrayed the team by killing Matt's brother Andy, setting fire to the laboratory and stealing half of the masks to found his own criminal organization. A decorated colonel with a strong military background, he is an expert aircraft pilot and tactician. His primary vehicle is Switchblade, a futuristic helicopter that transforms into a jet and can fire weapons in either mode, and he also commands vehicles such as Outlaw, Buzzard, Wolfbeast, and Ratfang. His main mask, Viper, spits a corrosive poison, while his arsenal includes other masks like Python, which sends out coiled tentacles to entrap his foes. For all his scheming, his plans are repeatedly foiled by Matt Trakker and M.A.S.K., prompting his recurring threats of revenge. In the animated series he was voiced by Brendan McKane and first appeared in the pilot episode "The Deathstone."
