Matt “Hunter” Trakker

Matt Trakker is the founder and leader of M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and the central hero of the franchise. Around twenty-eight years old and carrying the codename "Hunter", he is a multi-millionaire philanthropist who travels the world funding charitable causes and enjoys high-risk sports such as racing and sky-diving. He helped pioneer the special-mask technology alongside his brother Andy and Miles Mayhem, but after Mayhem betrayed them, killed Andy, and stole half of the masks to found VENOM, Matt created M.A.S.K. in his brother's honour to combat that threat. He is the adoptive father of young Scott Trakker. Leading with courage and enthusiasm, he is usually the first to uncover VENOM's schemes and never hesitates to take on the most dangerous part of a mission himself. His primary vehicle is Thunderhawk, a sleek sports car that transforms into a gull-winged jet fighter; in the second-season Racing Series he switches to Goliath. His main mask, Spectrum, controls and creates light and energy, generating effects such as lasers, holograms, and high-frequency interference, though he commands many other masks over the course of the series. In the animated series he was voiced by Doug Stone and first appeared in the pilot episode "The Deathstone."
