Stinger was a VENOM Series 2 vehicle released by Kenner in 1986, a Pontiac GTO that converts into an armored tank, and was sold in some markets under the alternate name Scorpion. Its transformation deploys rugged tank treads, a rotating radar scanner, and a pull-out battle armor shield, turning the muscle car into a heavily armored assault vehicle. The set was packaged with Bruno "Mad Dog" Sheppard and his Magna-Beam mask, which emits a magnetic wave that attracts metal objects. Stinger served as the vehicle of the dangerous VENOM kidnapper Bruno Sheppard.
