Bruce “Magic” Sato

CHARACTER FROM: / M.A.S.K

Bruce "Magic" Sato

Bruce "Magic" Sato is a Japanese-American agent of M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and, at twenty-seven, the team's mechanical engineering and design specialist. In civilian life he works as a toy designer, and together with Alex Sector and Buddy "Clutch" Hawks he is largely responsible for developing and maintaining the team's vehicles. He serves as co-pilot of the battle truck Rhino alongside Matt Trakker, and later pilots vehicles such as Dynamo and Rescue Mission. His primary mask, Lifter, fires an anti-gravity beam that lets him raise and move heavy objects or deflect incoming projectiles, and it once proved powerful enough to keep a falling section of the Statue of Liberty aloft. Over the series he also wears the New Lifter and Grasshopper masks. Bruce is steeped in Eastern philosophy and is known for expressing his insights as cryptic, Confucian-style riddles that often baffle his teammates until Matt or Alex deciphers them. According to Scott Trakker, he also owns an impressive samurai sword, and he is shown to have experience in cave exploration. Calm, thoughtful, and brilliant, he is one of the team's most dependable technical minds. In the animated series he was voiced by Doug Stone and first appeared in the pilot episode "The Deathstone."

Abilities : Bruce is a brilliant mechanical engineer and design specialist with knowledge of Eastern philosophy and cave exploration. His Lifter mask fires an anti-gravity beam that can lift and move heavy objects or deflect projectiles.
