Ma-Mutt is Mumm-Ra's pet, who greatly resembles a demonic bulldog. While incapable of speech because of his canine physiology, he appears to be a sentient being of roughly human intelligence, capable of following complex plans and successfully posing as Mumm-Ra and mobilizing the mutants. He was also able to speak in this form, presumably because it possessed a more articulated mouth and vocal cords.
