ThunderCats
ThunderCats is an American animated series that debuted in 1985, produced by Rankin-Bass Animated Entertainment and Leisure Concepts from characters created by Tobin “Ted” Wolf. The show follows a group of catlike humanoid aliens and became one of the notable fantasy-adventure cartoons of the 1980s. Its animation was produced in Japan by Pacific Animation Corporation, and the series ran across several seasons, beginning with a 65-episode first season and continuing with ThunderCats – HO! and later shorter story arcs.
ThunderCats follows a group of feline humanoid heroes forced to flee their dying planet, Thundera, and settle on Third Earth. Led by the young Lion-O and protected by the powerful Sword of Omens, they build a new home while defending the Eye of Thundera from the Mutants of Plun-Darr and the ancient sorcerer Mumm-Ra, who seeks to destroy them and rule the planet.
