Buddie “Clutch” Hawks

Buddie "Clutch" Hawks is an agent of M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand), the secret task force led by Matt Trakker. Aged twenty-five and carrying the codename "Clutch," he works as the auto mechanic and station attendant at Boulder Hill, a cover role through which he maintains all of the team's vehicles and keeps the secret headquarters hidden. Though he seems like an ordinary mechanic, he is in fact the team's master of disguise and intelligence expert, taking part in nearly every mission involving deception. A street-smart tough guy with ties to the underworld, he can convincingly pose as everyday citizens or pull off ingenious impersonations, famously deceiving VENOM by disguising himself as Cliff Dagger and even mimicking his voice. Within M.A.S.K. he co-pilots Firecracker, a pickup truck with an attached dirt bike, and pilots vehicles such as Hurricane and the second-season car Wildcat. His mask, Penetrator (also called Ditcher with the Wildcat vehicle), vibrates at high frequency to let him and his vehicle pass through solid objects. In the animated series he was voiced by Mark Halloran and first appeared in the pilot episode "The Deathstone."
