Defenders of the Earth Series

Galoob action figure line based on the animated series Defenders of the Earth, presented in Galoob’s 1986 Toy Fair catalogue. It comprised six 5-inch figures – Flash Gordon, the Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Lothar, Ming the Merciless and Garax – each with die-cast metal fists and forearms for a “Power Punch” action, weapons and a mini-comic. Vehicles included the Claw Copter, the Flash and Garax Swordships, the Grip Jaw, the Phantom Skull Copter and Ming’s snake Mongor.
