Manufacturer: Takara Tomy™ • Released: 2003-2026

Transformers Masterpiece (トランスフォーマー マスターピース) is the collector line launched by Takara in December 2003 with MP-01 Convoy, before Takara merged with Tomy in March 2006; Takara Tomy then continued it. It recreates mainly characters from the original Generation 1 cartoon, later also from Beast Wars, with complex transformations and often licensed vehicle modes; a new Convoy in 2011 (MP-10) rebooted the line to a more consistent scale. Hasbro distributed or reissued many of the figures outside Japan. The numbered line ended with MP-60 Ginrai in December 2024, the 100th Masterpiece release including limited editions, and was succeeded by the MPG line. On this site the line is divided into the standard numbered releases, the special and limited editions, the Masterpiece Movie Series (MPM, from 2010, followed in 2026 by Masterpiece Movie Series Next) and MPG (from 2022).
