Takara • G2

Manufacturer: Takara™ • Released: 1995

Transformers: G-2 (トランスフォーマー G-2) is the Japanese version of Hasbro’s Generation 2, released by Takara only in the second half of 1995. It used only new G2 molds, numbered TRF-01 to TRF-16, each packed with a manga comic, and was followed by unnumbered Go-Bots repaints. It was not a commercial success, and Takara returned to Transformers with Beast Wars in 1997.
