Beast Wars Metals is Takara’s 1999 line released when seasons 2 and 3 of the Beast Wars cartoon were shown in Japan. Smaller than the earlier line-ups, it only featured characters who appear in the show; the first wave had more show-accurate decos with generic “CYBERTRON” and “DESTRON” markings, and Takara added an exclusive retool of Transmetal Cheetor into Ravage. Each toy came with a three-stage lenticular bio card showing its robot, beast and pre-Transmetal beast modes. The line was made by Takara, before the 2006 Takara Tomy merger.
