Transformers • Masterpiece

Transformers Masterpiece (トランスフォーマー マスターピース) is the collector line launched by Takara in December 2003 with MP-01 Convoy, before Takara merged with Tomy in March 2006; Takara Tomy then continued it. It recreates mainly characters from the original Generation 1 cartoon, later also from Beast Wars, with complex transformations and often licensed vehicle modes; a new Convoy in 2011 (MP-10) rebooted the line to a more consistent scale. Hasbro distributed or reissued many of the figures outside Japan. The numbered line ended with MP-60 Ginrai in December 2024, the 100th Masterpiece release including limited editions, and was succeeded by the MPG line.
