Gooper Ghost • Green Ghost (Slimer)

Gooper Ghost Figure: Green Ghost an action figure which is part of Kenners The Real Ghostbusters Toy Line’s Gooper Ghost sets. He is the second toy based on Slimer. The Gooper Ghost line also included previously released Squisher, Banshee Bomber, and Sludge Bucket. All three were released in wave 2 of the Kenner line in America. One of the trademarks of this line was the Ecto-Plazm cans that came with these toys. Later, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Playmates followed this with playsets that came with Retromutagen Ooze, which was basically the same toy product. The idea of action figures and gel/slime might be trace back to He-man’s toy line, however “Slime” was first sold by Mattel in 1976 as a stand alone toy product.

Fright Feature Figure: Janine Melnitz an action figure which is part of Kenners The Real Ghostbusters Toy Line’s Fright Feature set. Based loosely off The Real Ghostbusters animated series Janine Melnitz. She was released after the first four toys of the set in America. The Fright Feature group also included Peter, Egon, Ray, and Winston. Later, Kenner also released “Green Ghost with Proton Pack”, which had similar mechanic fright ability.

It featured X-Cop, a skeleton-like ghoul with glowing eyes and a jaw that opened farther than normal. The Haunted Human set also included Terror Trash, Granny Gross, Mail Fraud, Hard Hat Horror, and Tombstone Tackle. Later, Kenner also released two Haunted Vehicles, which had a human and vehicle that changed into ghosts/monsters. The two Haunted Vehicle sets: Air Sickness, and Wicked Wheelie.

It featured Tombstone Tackle, a ghoul with an alligator head and eyes in his back, and a tongue with a football on the end. The Haunted Human set also included Terror Trash, Granny Gross, Mail Fraud, Hard Hat Horror, and X-Cop. Later, Kenner also released two Haunted Vehicles, which had a human and vehicle that changed into ghosts/monsters. The two Haunted Vehicle sets: Air Sickness, and Wicked Wheelie.
