Spectreman
Spectreman is a Japanese science fiction tokusatsu series created by Souji Ushio and produced by P Productions. Aired from 1971 to 1972, it is an early 1970s kyodai hero show known for combining giant monster battles with strong environmental themes about pollution and humanity’s impact on Earth.
After being exiled from Planet E, the brilliant but dangerous Dr. Gori and his assistant Ra come to Earth and decide to conquer it by turning human pollution into giant monsters. To stop them, Nebula 71 sends the cyborg hero Spectreman, who lives among humans as Jōji Gamō and secretly fights to protect the planet alongside the anti-pollution team known as the Pollution G-Men.
