Prince of Persia
Prince of Persia is a video game franchise created by Jordan Mechner, launched in 1989 with Prince of Persia on the Apple II and known for its fluid acrobatics. Revived by Ubisoft with The Sands of Time (2003), it was adapted into the film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010), produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Disney with Jake Gyllenhaal.
An agile prince of ancient Persia runs, leaps and fights through traps and palaces to save a princess and his kingdom. In The Sands of Time and its film adaptation, the Prince, named Dastan in the film, finds a magic dagger that can turn back time, and must protect it with Princess Farah, or Tamina in the film, from those who would use it to destroy the world.
