Matchbox • Robotech Series • Mecha Launchers
Manufacturer:
Matchbox™
• Released: 1985
A sub-line of small die-cast and ABS plastic vehicles with spring-loaded launch mechanisms, released in 1985–1986. Four vehicle types were produced — the RDF Destroyer, Recon Ship, Zentraedi Officers’ Attack Craft, and Zentraedi Cruiser — all of which are Macross Saga vessels. The launcher gimmick allows a small projectile to be fired from the vehicle, a common play feature in 1980s toy lines.
