Kerberos Saga
The Kerberos Saga is a Japanese multimedia franchise created by Mamoru Oshii, begun with the radio drama and the film The Red Spectacles (1987), followed by StrayDog (1991), the manga Kerberos Panzer Cop and the anime film Jin-Roh (1999).
In an alternate postwar Japan, the Kerberos unit, armored elite police in Protect Gear armed with MG42 machine guns, fights urban guerrillas until the government disbands it and its last members such as Koichi Todome become fugitives.
