Iron Leaguer
Shippu! Iron Leaguer (Whirlwind! Iron Leaguer) is a sports robot anime series produced by Sunrise, directed by Tetsuro Amino with mecha designs by Kunio Okawara, broadcast on TV Tokyo from April 1993 to March 1994 (52 episodes).
In the distant future, robot athletes called Iron Leaguers play every sport, but the league has become a violent spectacle dominated by the Dark Sports Foundation. The struggling team Silver Castle, owned by fifteen-year-old Ruri Ginjo, is joined by the mysterious baseball Leaguer Magnum Ace and the soccer star Mach Windy, who fight for fair play across soccer, baseball and other sports.
