Space Sheriff Gavan • Ichijou Retsu
Space Sheriff Gavan, whose civilian identity is Retsu Ichijouji, is the son of Tamiko Ichijouji and Voicer, and spent much of his life on Planet Bird before being sent to defend Earth from the Makuu Empire. By shouting “Jōchaku,” he is instantly covered in Granium particles from the Dolgiran, forming his silver chrome combat suit in only 0.05 seconds. A skilled fighter and athlete, Gavan uses a variety of weapons in battle and later passes the role of Earth’s protector to his successors, eventually choosing Geki Jumonji as the new Gavan. In later appearances, he rises to the rank of commander while continuing to face new threats across the Metal Hero universe.
