TOA Heavy Industries Series
TOA Heavy Industries (東亜重工) is the brand 1000toys created with manga artist Tsutomu Nihei, creator of BLAME!. Its first product, the 1/6-scale TOA Heavy Industries Synthetic Human, came out in 2014 and was noted for its Asian body proportions and wide range of motion. Considered 1000toys’ signature work, it has been produced in several runs, including a clear edition, with a fifth production run scheduled for January 2026. The line has grown with 1/12-scale Synthetic Humans, test-body variants and other units in Nihei’s designs.
