Remco™
Remco is an American toy company founded in 1949 by Isaac Heller and his cousin Saul Robbins, starting in a New York basement; its name combines the words “remote control”. Known from the start for toys built around technology, such as walkie-talkies and battery-operated vehicles, it moved to Harrison, New Jersey, in the early 1960s and took licences such as the Batman Utility Belt and the Star Trek phaser. Sold by its founders in 1966 and bankrupt in 1971, it was bought by Azrak-Hamway International in 1974.
