figma action figure series

figma is Max Factory’s line of articulated action figures made of ABS and PVC, about 13–16 cm tall, distributed by Good Smile Company. Created by Max Factory CEO Max Watanabe and Masaki Asai as a rival to Kaiyodo’s Revoltech, with a focus on articulation, it began in 2008: a special Haruhi Suzumiya (SP-001) came with the limited edition of a PS2 game on 31 January 2008, and the first regular release, 001 Yuki Nagato, followed on 14 February 2008. Figures usually include several faceplates, interchangeable hands and an articulated stand; regular releases have three-digit numbers, specials an SP prefix and event exclusives an EX prefix.
