Saint Seya • Saint Cloth Myth

Manufacturer: Bandai™ • Released: 2003

Saint Cloth Myth, often known internationally by collectors as Saint Seiya Myth Cloth, is a premium Bandai/Tamashii Nations figure line based on Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya universe. Launched in 2003, the range modernized the classic Saint Cloth toys by combining articulated character bodies with removable metal and plastic armor that can also be displayed in object form. What began around the main Bronze Saints quickly grew into a broad collector line covering Gold Saints, Marinas, Specters, Gods, alternate versions and later characters from related Saint Seiya works. The figures are valued for their detailed sculpting, metallic Cloth parts, interchangeable faces and hands, and their ability to recreate iconic poses from the manga and anime. Later sub-lines such as Appendix, Myth Cloth EX and Legend refined the concept with improved proportions, upgraded articulation, bust parts, movie designs and more expressive display options. For collectors, Saint Cloth Myth is one of the most important modern Saint Seiya toy lines because it bridges nostalgia for the 1980s figures with a more mature, display-focused approach.
