Bandai • VF Hi-Metal (Macross)
Launched in 2010, the VF Hi-Metal line represented Bandai’s first fully re-engineered take on the Variable Fighter concept at 1/100 scale. Featuring new tooling, die-cast metal parts, and near-perfect transformation, the line covered both Super Dimension Fortress Macross VF-1 variants and Macross 7 units including the VF-19, VF-17, VF-11, and VF-22. Despite its quality, the line was short-lived, running only until 2011.
